    • "The open-air promotion at Leicester Stadium on Saturday drew a very respectable crowd, and they were not disappointed, as the new local heavyweight, Frank Borrington, did really well to outpoint Gunner Bennett. Borrington was the first to attack; he missed with his left, but got in a couple of rights to the head. Bennett relied mostly on his left and semed content to wait for an opening. Borrington, however kept on the moce, and carried the fight to his man, and by his more aggressive work deserved the verdict"
