Promoted at the El Cerrito Arena in El Cerrito, CA, during the late 1930s and early 1940s. Like most Bay Area promoters prior to the start of World War II, he was financially unsuccesful as a promoter. Since his shows were at a very low level, his gates were often around $200-300. Consequently, main event fighters could find themselves earning less than $30 for fighting on his shows.
Later in 1942, he regained a promoter's license with the California State Athletic Commission, and became the promoter at San Francisco's National Hall, remaining there as promoter, until the club shut down in 1949.
