"Frankie Crawford was cockier than usual Thursday night when he entered the ring against tough Tony Jumaos of The Philippines. The attitude improved suddenly in the 4th round of the scheduled 10 round main event at the Olympic Auditorium when Crawford found himself lying on his back after catching a solid right hand on the chin. Crawford arose by pulling himself up by the ropes at the count of five. He appeared to be groggy, but he held on, ran a little and fought back before the end of the round. Everything changed suddenly in the 6th when the famous Crawford left hook began to connect. For a full minute he blasted Jumaos with left hooks to the head. And when referee George Latka moved in to stop the fight at 2:30 of the round, Jumaos was helpless and unable to defend himself." -The L.A. Times
