The Frawley Act was New York state legislation permitting professional boxing, and existed from July 26, 1911 to Nov. 14, 1917. (It allowed for ten-round bouts with eight-ounce gloves, among other limits and requirements.) The August 29, 1911 Show:57115 was the first fight card under this new law.

The 1917 ring-death of Young McDonald was largely responsible for its expiration and the prohibition of boxing in the state until the 1920 Walker Law.
