Freddie Jacks had an extensive career. He is reported by the Everlast Boxing Record Book of 1922 to have had over 200 ring battles in England and Europe prior to 1920.
Jacks fought under a number of different names early in his career--such as Stoker Jacobs, Eddie Welch, and Sailor Jacks.
According to the Feb. 24, 1928 Brooklyn Standard Union, p. 10, he had been the former British champion and was now an American citizen.
Most of his UK and Paris fights compiled by Gilbert Odd. Even with the over 160 fights entered here, there are still many more bouts that remain to be discovered.
