- Referee: Jack Smith
"Freddie Miller, 125 1/2, Cincinnati, Ohio, world's featherweight champion, retained his title tonight by decisively outpointing Nel Tarleton in a 15-round bout before a crowd estimated at 15,000. Miller floored Tarleton with a right to the head in the 1st round for a count of six. Tarleton won only two rounds, the 2nd and 7th. In the 13th round both fighters fell through the ropes in a clinch but neither was hurt. Miller attacked savagely when they got back in the ring and had Tarleton nearly out when the bell saved him. The American pounded Tarleton at will in the last two rounds but couldn't land a knockout." -United Press
- The UP article referred to Tarleton as the European champion, however, he only held the British title.
