    • Nico Schoenmaker (13-3-0) defended his Dutch welterweight title by outpointing Frits van Kempen over 12 rounds. Van Kempen (24-6-2)was the aggressor in the first part of the fight. By the 10th he was losing steam and almost got KO'd in the 11th. He barely survived the last round.
