Fritzie Zivic 147 lbs beat Milt Aron 152 lbs by KO at 1:58 in round 5 of 10
- Date: 1941-09-15
- Location: Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
- Referee: Red Robinson
"Fritzie Zivic, currently engaged in a squabble for a return bout with Red Cochrane for his welterweight title, showed a return to his old form last night at Forbes Field when he easily disposed of Milt Aron by a 5th round knockout. Revenging a knockout suffered at the hands of the Chicago boy two years ago, the former champion unleashed vicious left jabs and hard right crosses to keep Aron in distress throughout the fight. The end came at 1:58 of the 5th when Zivic hit Aron on the chin with a left and a right almost simultaneously and put the Chicago boy down for the count." -United Press
- Shortly after this bout Aron contracted Septicemia, a blood infection and was hospitalized the following month until he passed away on March 6, 1942. Zivic would visit him while passing through Chicago during that time.
