  • Stevens was down in the second round. Golovkin came forward with power shots and pressured the shorter Stevens from that point on. Stevens wore earmuffs with his gloves, going into a mostly defensive posture but still taking a serious beating for the next six rounds. The bout was wisely stopped between rounds to prevent Stevens from further punishment.
