"George Chuvalo of Toronto, Canadian heavyweight champion, is seeking a title defense against Yvon Durelle on the strength of his 7th round TKO Monday night over Frankie Daniels. Daniels, a veteran of 59 outings from Bakersfield, Calif., was dumped twice in the scheduled 10 rounder, the second time with blood spurting from a cut over his left eye. A doctor examined Daniels's eye and halted the fight at 1:35 of the 7th. Most of the 4,000 fans apparently disagreed with the decision but Daniels needed 15 stitches to close the gash." -Canadian Press
