Gerry Cooney 230 lbs beat George Chaplin 216 lbs by TKO at 2:50 in round 2 of 10

"Gerry Cooney stung George Chaplin with a left to the mid-section and then stopped the journeyman from Baltimore with a flurry of punches in the 2nd round Saturday night to win impressively in his second fight on the comeback trail. Chaplin came out fast and caught Cooney with a right cross in the 1st round that seemed to unsettle the contender from Huntington, NY. Cooney fought back and traded left jabs throughout the round, but it seemed this would be no pushover fight. In the 2nd round, however, Cooney scored early with a series of combinations and then smashed Chaplin with a left to the mid-section that straightened him up. Referee Bobby Ferrara stopped the bout at 2:50 of the 2nd round after Cooney had pummeled Chaplin with at least three dozen unanswered punches, jolting him around the ring." -Associated Press
