"Welterweight contender Isaac Logart beat Gil Turner again tonight with solid left hooks at close quarters for another unanimous decision in their return 10 round TV bout at MSG. Although Turner forced the action in most of the rounds, it was Logart who landed the more damaging punches in their repeated exchanges at close quarters. Cuban Ike's beast weapon was a left 'shovel hook' that came in with a lift - something like an uppercut. Logart buckled Gil's knees several times with hard head hooks, but Gil came back fighting every time." -United Press
