"An old familiar boxing echo resounded through the arena Thursday night as Gil Turner whipped Pierre Langlois - "We wuz robbed." Langlois, speaking in French, English and with gestures that even a member of the fight mob could understand, sat in his dressing room decrying the unanimous verdict of the officials, stripping to show what he claimed as a beet red groin. The 7,168 fans seemed to agree with Langlois, although the ringside experts did not. The fans booed, threw paper into the ring and bounced their chairs on the stone floor. In round two, Langlois stunned Turner with a right hand to the face. That was the only time the Philadelphian was in trouble. Turner denied fouling at all. He said his blows were in bounds and noted the referee didn't warn him at any time." -Associated Press
