"A blood swelling on the forehead put Gil Turner in a hospital last night after the busy Philadelphia battler had beaten out a split decision over Yama Bahama in a 10 round television fight. Turner's victory avenged a beating he took from Bahama a year ago but there was a great difference of opinion over who actually won last night's rousing scrap in the Miami Beach Auditorium. There were loud boos from the crowd of 2,068 when it was announced that Turner had been given a split decision." -Associated Press
