Glen 'Kid' Lehr was a top notch fighter in Iowa for many years. He rarely fought outside the mid-west probably preferring to remain a main event fighter in Iowa and nearby environs, then venturing further east where he would have had to take big a big reduction in pay in order to get fights. Lehr fought and defeated fine fighters like Babe Herman, Henry Falegano, Hymie Wiseman, Young Terry (of Davenport) and many others. His older brother Merle Clark fought as Hardoil Lehr.
