  • Barrage of head power shot punches by Soro, BoxRec number worldwide super welterweight, sent Tapia staggering around the ring out on his feet, unable to clear his head or regain his legs and out of it. More power shots by Soro to head sent Tapia backwards helpless falling along the ropes, grabbed by referee David Fields who put an immediate end to the contest.
  • For USBA and WBO NABO titles, American titles won but not needed by Soro, who hails from Côte D’Ivoire.
  • New York City area club fighter Tapia lost to Soro and lost to James Kirkland, got exposed in Atlantic City on television again as a limited fighter against quality opposition.
