Former WBC International Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Drozd of Moscow, Russia, scored a seventh round stoppage of Rob Calloway of the United States, in a bout for the WBC and WBO Asian Cruiserweight titles and the regional PABA title. Drozd, age 29, now 31-1 with 23 kayos, dropped Calloway, age 39, now 70-9-2 with 56 kayos, eight times. In the seventh, Drozd staggered Calloway with an overhand left along with ropes, then trapped Calloway in a corner and landed a flurry of left-right combinations with Calloway's guard down and sent him to the canvas on one knee. The referee then waived a halt to the contest. In bouts outside the United States, Rob Calloway's record fell to 0-5. Highlights of this bout can be seen on Youtube.
