Hank Kaplan was a former boxer who became a boxing promoter, publisher and historian. At one time he had the largest collection of boxing photographs and research resources in the world. He died at his home in Kendall, Florida, on December 14, 2007.
- Inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame, "Expanded Category" (Writers & Historians & Photo Journalists), and the International Boxing Hall of Fame
- Inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame (Historian) in 2009.
