Norwewgian lightweight Ivar Ellertsen (2-0-0) met the German Hans-Peter Schulz (3-13-5) in a 6 rounder. Ellertsen lived up to his reputation as a knockout-king by flooring the visitor in the 3rd round with a left hook to the body. A right hand in the 4th felled the German again and this time he failed to beat the count.

In the intermission, Ellertsen,fresh from the dressing room, entertained the crowd with his singing abilities, delivering a couple of popular tunes from operetta and musicals with his opera trained voice.
