The seasoned writer for the Göteborgs- Posten became a little nostalgic as he watched the young Finn Harri Piitulainen scoring his 3rd win by outpointing Lebanese debutant Wassim Abdul Samad over 4 rounds. The journalist remembered Harri's father Yrjo Piitulainen who fought in Scandinavian rings as a pro from 1945 to 1950, retiring when the game was good with a splendid 25-3-4- record.
Piitulainen junior ( 62 kg ) had inherited his father's straight left jab and ability to duck under hooks in order to punch cleanly at close range with crosses, hooks and uppercuts. Lebanese Samad ( 60,2 kg ) received a solid beating and never could reach Piitulainen with his wild swings.
