Norwegian- born Harry Berntsen was on the verge of beeing knocked out before he KO'd Johnny Davis,Brooklyn after 54 seconds in the 4th round.
Davis was down for a 9 count in the 1st, Berntsen in the 2nd and 3rd. Each time, Bernsten was saved by the bell while he tried desperately to tie up the "Brooklyn negro" Davis. In the 4th Davis staggered Berntsen with a left hook which promted the Norwegian to counter with a right. Davis was counted out on his back by ref. Harry Ebbetts.
