Name: Harry Brooks
Hometown: Aldgate, London, United Kingdom
Died: 1991-05-01
Pro Boxer: Record

This Harry Brooks was the younger brother of fellow fighters Young Joe Brooks and Nat Brooks. The Brooks brothers were a famous fighting family from London's East End during the first twenty years of the 20th Century. Harry fought from 1910 until 1927 when he retired. He fought the great Jimmy Wilde in December of 1913 for a fight billed for the British 110llb title. Brooks was stopped in the ninth rd. Maybe the highlight of his long boxing career. He had over 160 fights in his career. He should not be confused with featherweight Harry Brooks who also came from London's East End--flyweight Harry was at the end of his career and featherweight Harry Brooks was beginning.
