Harry Greb 165 lbs beat Jack Dillon 159 lbs by NWS in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1917-07-30
- Location: Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
- Referee: Eddie Kennedy
"Jack Dillon of Indianapolis was given the worst beating of his ring career in a 10 round go with Harry Greb before a crowd of 15,000 at Forbes Field ball park tonight. Greb took every round except the 4th, which was even. In the 7th round Dillon was almost out, even though on his feet, but Greb could not put over the haymaker. The same occurred again in the 9th round, but Dillon managed to weather the storm. Dillon's most telling blow was a right hook to the jaw, delivered in the 4th, but Greb quickly recovered and returned five lefts to the face. Greb beat Dillon at his own game, infighting, and had a wide margin at the finish." -Boston Daily Globe
