Harry Greb beat Larry Williams by NWS in round 10 of 10

  • Date: 1919-11-24
  • Location: Southside Market House, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
  • Referee: Loudon Campbell

Notes

Greb won the newspaper decision. (Coshocton Tribune) The Pittsburgh Post reported that Greb won clearly but Williams gave him a tough bout, proving to be a fast, shifty, and hardhitting opponent. Greb took rounds one, three, five, six, seven, and eight. Williams won the second, fourth, and tenth, and the ninth was even. It was a revelation to see a Greb opponent win the last round. Williams clearly hurt Greb in the three rounds that he won. Greb's best rounds were the third and fifth in which he rained blows on Williams.
