Results from the Kalamazoo Gazette. Greb fought the entire fight almost exclusively with his left. The Gazette reported "At the conclusion of the eighth round, the announcement was made that Greb was fighting with a broken right arm, the injury being received over six weeks ago....Greb undoubtedly gave a fine exhibition of one-handed fighting, but the bout was nevertheless generally unsatisfactory....Greb was using his left largely and outpointing Mike (sic) at that....The crowd cheered Greb during the ninth and tenth rounds. Lemair (sic) showed nothing during the bout." Zulu, who for some reason was billed as "Mike Lemair" substituted for Bartley Madden. A false wire report was circulated that Zulu Kid was "given the decision" in this bout. The primary source report above makes it clear that this was not the case. Considering that Greb fought again just 17 days later, it must not have really been a break. Greb had suffered from ptomaine in January. Very few effective punches were landed.
