Harry Maynard was the former Pacific Coast (United States) Lightweight Champion. He originally was from England.
Maynard conducted an arena in San Francisco, where he developed Joe Choynski, Frankie Frayne, Prof. Young Dutchey, Joe Soto, Spider Kelly and others.
He died September 23, 1908, aboard a train of throat cancer.

According to the July 26, 1908 San Francisco Call, he had a brother named Jack, who had just died, and the family's name was Winchcomb. [1]

Maynard created and owned, off and on for many years, the Middleweight Title Belt given to Stanley Ketchel July 16, 1908.
