This Harry Smith was a bantamweight out of Philadelphia and did not begin boxing until the latter part of 1911--per a report in the Los Angeles Times dated April 16th, 1912. The report stated that he had been fighting as a professional for just seven months. He was twenty one years old at the time of the report. There were at least two Harry Smith's fighting out of Philadelphia at this time. The other, older Harry Smith fought as a lightweight and welterweight. It seems likely that there are many other bouts to uncover for this Harry Smith.
