"Henry Cooper, the 33 year old British heavyweight champion, stopped Jack Bodell of England in the 2nd round Tuesday night in a defense of the title he has held for the last eight years. The title fight was halted at 2:18 of the 2nd as Bodell, blood streaming from his nose, staggered across the ring. The 26 year old challenger had been jarred by a series of left hooks to the head. Bodell staggered to a neutral corner and referee Ike Powell stepped in and stopped it." -Associated Press
