"Californian Roger Rischer had his 5th straight victory today, an edge over British champion Henry Cooper in a 10 round bore. Rischer dropped the British and Empire champion twice in the 8th round to grab the decision in a dull fight that had fans clapping, booing and foot-stomping. The 5,500 fans in Royal Albert Hall Monday night were patient. They waited for action until the 6th round and then let loose with boos. Cooper appeared rusty, slow and complacent. Rischer, at least, tried to mix it up although most of his punches were of the slap variety and lacked steam." -Associated Press
