Veteran Henry Hank, using a savage body attack, pounded out a unanimous 10-round decision Saturday night over James Ellis at Freedom Hall. Ellis, stepping into the ring professionally for the 11th time, bled profusely from the mouth from the fourth round on, and his face was a mask of blood at the end. Hank, who has fought 73 times, was unmarked except for a slight puff over his right eye, suffered in the early rounds. Hank weighed 165 pounds, three more than Ellis for the nationally televised fight. Referee Art Gering scored it 47-45 Hank. Judge Tom Nuckles had it 47-44 Hank and Judge Walter Beck 47-46 Hank. Scoring was on a 5-point must system.
