Won the 1966 New York Golden Gloves 175lb Sub-Novice Championship. Jeter stopped(RSC-2) MacArthur Sloan of the Police Athletic Leagues Howard Houses in the finals to win the Championship. Jeter trained at the Cage Recreation Center in White Plains, New York with Charley Casserta.
