- Later in the 2nd, Velazquez hit Lundy with a very low blow that appeared deliberate. Lundy was allowed time to recover. This was, quite possible, an attempt by Velazquez to buy time to gather himself from the knockdown.
- Velazquez down again in the 2nd Round from a combo left uppercut to the body, left hook to the head. At this point, referee Charles Dwyer stopped the fight.
