Herman Hinners

According to the 5 January 1941 New York Times, Herman C. Hinners had been the light-heavyweight boxing champion of the First American Army to land in France during World War I, and the national Sergeant-at-Arms of the Twenty-Ninth Division Association. He had died January 4 of a liver ailment, aged 46 years.
