Ebihara floored Torres with a left hook to the jaw in the 1st round. Torres took the mandatory eight-count, and the bell rang before Ebihara could land another punch. Torres made it a close fight through the 7th round, until he was hurt by another left hook by Ebihara. Ebihara then landed a flurry that sent Torres through the ropes. Torres made it to his feet, only to be hit with another onslaught that sent his mouthpiece flying. As the went to the canvas for the third time, referee Latka stopped the bout.
