"Holman Williams of Chicago held an upset victory over Steve Belloise Monday night when he scored a 10-round decision at the Philadelphia Arena. Williams entered the ring as a 7-5 underdog but used his greater boxing skill to overcome Belloise's heavier punching. Williams, 157 1/4, used a long left jab to keep the New York Sailor at a distance and to mark him up about the eyes. Occasionally the winner varied his tactics to feint Belloise, who weighed 156 1/2, in close for a body attack. There were no knockdowns." -United Press
