"European featherweight boxing champion Howard Winstone Tuesday night retained his title when Lino Mastellaro of Italy gave up after two minutes of the 8th round. Winstone put the Italian down for a count of seven with a right to the head in the 5th round of a scheduled 15 rounder. That was the only knockdown in a fight dominated by Winstone's left hand.
