Another former kick-boxer, the man from Inowroclaw took up that sport at 17 and went on to win a silver medal at the Polish full-contact championships. Switching to orthodox boxing at 21, he joined the Olimpia club in Poznan and represented them in league action, finishing with an excellent record of 19 wins in 21 contests. Now he tries the pro game and says he bases his style on that of Mike Tyson.
