Dick DiVeronica learned his boxing from Hall-of-Famer Carmen Basilio (who became one of his managers) and, like Basilio, he was aggressive, utilizing a bob and weave style. He threw a hard left hook to the body, and once inside he was a terrific body puncher. He had an underrated overhand right with deceiving power.
