Born 1898 in Hjorring, Denmark. Psychically Robert Larsen was actually too small to fight in the heavyweight division and at his best he was in the upper limit of the light heavyweight division. Robert Larsen is a three time Danish amateur heavyweight champion and competed in the Olympics. Robert Larsen peaked at the three fights in Germany against Rudi Wagener and boxing legend Max Schmeling. In his first fight against Schmeling he was outboxed in all 15 rounds but bravely went the distance. They stood face to face again only four months later and this time Schmeling Knocked out Larsen in the third round. After Robert Larsens last fight in Sweden he suffered from a indisposition and never returned to the boxing ring again.
