According to an obituary in the June 4, 1936 edition of the Catholic Freeman's Journal (Sydney, NSW) on the Trove website, Peter Toohey, 57 years od age and a native of Surrey Hills, died at his residence in Sans Souci on May 26, 1936. A well-known boxer and an Australian bantamweight champion in his younger days, he was survived by his wife, Anne, and a son, Jack, who was a well-known Sydney jockey.
