According to a Friday (December 4, 1936) news item with a Sydney dateline in the December 5, 1936 edition of the Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners' Advocate (New South Wales) on the Trove website, James David Price, 29 years of age, was electrocuted on December 4, 1936. He had been carrying a floodlight lead on the premises (a job site?) in Balman, receiving a full force of electricity due to a short circuit. Price had about 100 professional bouts and was the state (New South Wales?) welterweight champion from 1927 to 1928 while fighting under the name of Jimmy Pearce.
