Not to be confused with his brother Stewart Eddie Tait, also a boxer. In September 1923, Edwin Tait returned to the United States from the Philippines and the Orient, where he had assembled what was reported at the time as being the largest cargo of wild and exotic animals ever. He arrived in Los Angeles and then headed home to Tacoma. He sold off the animals and birds to various zoos, parks and circuses.
