Reported by June 26, 1936 newspapers as being 23 when - returning from Klamath Falls, Oregon, where he had participated in a boxing program - he apparently lost control of his car on a curve. His companions - Arthur Robbins (23) and Allen Johnson (18), both of Tacoma, Washington - were taken to a Chico, California, hospital where they were treated for broken bones and lacerations. Ronzano/Ross, however, died from his injuries.
