In December 1932 Pantano was suspended for participating in bootleg fights. He admitted to fighting in a benefit show and donating his money (probably 6/7/32 bout). In 1954 Sammy Sacco reported he fought Pantano in Niagara Falls Ontario on the Fuller-Rosenbloom card and was defeated. He said he won the rematch. Buffalo Courier-Express.
