Per the Jan. 20, 1921 SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE newspaper, Jetters was being held by Salt Lake City, Utah, police while they investigated the death of Clifford Thurman. Thurman was the son of Utah Supreme Court Justice S. R. Thurman. Jetters admitted that he, two women, and Thurman had been together.
