Joe "Frenchy" Forchione made his professional debut in 1931 and fought throughout the 1930s primarily in the state of Ohio. Upon retirement, Forchione served as a trainer for the likes of Rodney Bobick, who fought Larry Holmes and sparred with Muhammad Ali. He too served as a referee and worked George Chuvalo vs. Charles Couture.
