JOE PANZARELLA has been called by Uncle Sam and departed yesterday for Fort Ontario. Joe is the former local boxer who fought under the name of Joe Pansy, and with credit to himself he turned his back on boxing for an Army career, entered West Point, graduated, and fought in the first World War emerging a captain of infantry. He was attached to the attorney general's office under Ottinger, and placed upon the retired list.

Now he has been recalled and gone to serve in another World War. He also was a former supervisor of the 27th ward.
