Mashelle Bogovich is the daugther of Sharkey Bogovich who owned Sharkey's Nugget in Gardnerville, Nevada. The Bogoivich family promoted many boxing shows in the 1970's and 1980's. Many of the shows were held in the cowpasture located near the casino. The family also owned a great deal of boxing memorabilia.

In 1989, ESPN televised a show from the cowpasture with the cows looking on at the boxers and fans with merely a small fence separating the cows from the spectators.
