Anthony Releford-- from a boxing family -- won several local and regional amateur titles in Texas that included the Junior Olympics, Golden Gloves and the AAU. He is the older brother of fellow pro Kenneth Releford and Vincent Releford. Releford older brother George Releford was a Golden Gloves and U.S. Marine Corp boxer. Releford's nephew, former Latino WBO Heavyweight champion Kendrick Releford, is also one of the boxer from this fighting family. Releford died in a Las Vegas construction site accident in January of 1998.
