Tommy Jones of Macon, Georgia, was a white boxer who fought professionally from 1924 to 1933. He began his career as a featherweight and ended it as a welterweight. Although he fought mainly in the southern states, he had many fights in New York and New England in 1925, and fought at various times in the midwest and on the west coast. He should not be confused with Tommy Jones, the black welterweight and middleweight who fought in the New York armories, New England, Australia, Hawaii, and on the west coast.
